What makes Sydney Design School different?
Our courses are accredited and nationally recognised. We are a boutique school, with a maximum of 14 students per class. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by inspiring and passionate design teachers.
What is the difference between and interior designer and an interior decorator?
An interior decorator or stylist can change the look, finishes, furniture, ambience, mood and colour of an existing space — cosmetic changes. An interior designer can alter the space within the internal envelope of a building, including walls, the shape and size of spaces, finishes, furniture, colour and lighting. To become an interior designer, you would need to study the Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration (LMF50408).
Why is accreditation important?
Employers want graduates that have studied an accredited and industry developed course. Our courses are nationally recognised and may articulate into courses offered at other educational institutions.
I am looking to change careers and haven't studied in years. Is Sydney Design School right for me?
Definitely! Many of our students are mature-age learners who want to change career paths. Sydney Design School provides an opportunity to mix with like-minded people who are passionate about design.
