If you want to be an Interior Designer then this is the course for you!
This career orientated course focuses on developing high level creative and technical skills to work as an interior designer on a broad range of residential and small commercial projects.
Working through a series of complex projects, you will fomulate detailed design proposals and prepare dynamic client presentations using the latest 2D and 3D technologies.
The course is structured into three parts; LIVE, LEARN and DESIGN
Course Outcomes

- Evaluate a site and document the requirements of a design project
- Demonstrate and apply an understadning of interior construction, systems and services
- Present design schemes using a range of presentation techniques including perspective drawing, rendering, AutoCAD and 3D modelling
DESIGN your future
- Innovatively design a range of commercial spaces including cafes, retail outlets and office fit-outs
- Plan and manage design projects in accordance with industry practices
- Demonstrate an understanding of the business of design
- Present and extensive portfolio of work based on real projects and client briefs
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course. However, prospective students are required to attend an interview prior to enrolment. Graduates of the following qualifications will be given credit:
- Certificate IV in Design (CUV40303) Specialising in Interior Decoration
- Certificate IV in Interior Decoration (LMF40408)
Study Days
Day Classes for 12 months
Term 1 and 2 Mondays & Tuesdays
Term 3 and 4 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Evening Classes for 30 months
2 evenings per week Mondays & Wednesdays
